A cabinet card portrait of Laura Ann Hoyt, age 18. Photographer is Young & McKay in Marshall (Mich.). Young & McKay operated in Marshall from 1888-1934. The back of the photograph reads: Laura Ann Hoyt, 18, Eyleen’s mom as a girl. Family information provided by Kate Keller: “Laura Ann Hoyt, daughter of Samuel Palmer and Mary Jane (Thuma) Hoyt, was born 24 Jan 1876 in Fredonia Township, Michigan and died 4 Jul 1943 in Battle Creek, Michigan. On 22 Apr 1896, in Ellis Corners, Michigan, she married Charles Edward Lutz (1872-1942). They are buried in Oakridge Cemetery, Marshall, Michigan.
